Dana Buckmir published her first book in the fifth grade for a Language Arts project at Calf Pen Meadow Elementary in Milford, CT. The story was written on index cards stapled to the pages and bound together by yarn. That experience was the first time she envisioned herself as one day becoming an author.

Her first book, a memoir – Plenty of Laughs: One Woman’s Journey Navigating the Online Dating Waters is a comical account of her personal experience with dating in the age of technology. The compelling story of finding love online focuses on the importance of maintaining a sense of humor and never losing hope.

Her second memoir, Everything Will Be Okay is a cautionary tale exploring the dangers of online dating. Dana hopes to help other women who have suffered domestic violence reclaim their voice. She resides in Connecticut where she enjoys working as a writing coach to help aspiring authors on the path to publication.
